I'm trying to tweak the default download page.
after 2 hours of research and trial and error frustrations are high.
I took the html code from the default template download page, copied it, pasted it into an html editor. Got it just the way I want, pasted it into textedit application on Mac, saved as html, uploaded to server with Filezilla.
When you access the webpage, it shows the HTML. Did I not save it correctly? What is missing? can someone please help me.
the URL for the file is here:

Hi Jeremy,
It looks like when you pasted it into a text editor and saved it as HTML, it actually coverted the "html code" to text rather than leaving it as code.
What I'd suggest:
Paste the code into your text editor again, and then save it as plain text.
default_customized.txt
Then upload it to your website. Using Filezilla, rename the file "default_customized.txt" to "default_customized.html".
Then that should work.
The problem is basically just that your text editor is changing your code into text for display purposes when you save it as a HTML doc.
Let me know how you go!
cheers
