Hi Sam,
I now need to set up an affiliate program for my site, or at least do it very soon.
Rather than trying to integrate with another software, I'd obviously prefer to use one that's already built into DLGuard. Do you have any more information on when that will be available?
If it's going to be a long time, do you have any other recommendations? JROX Jam was recommended, but it looks like it's an all-in-one solution with shopping cart etc. now.
Thanks.
Sharyn

Hi Sharyn!
I'm currently working on DLGuard v5 - there's about a billion or so new features I want to add, but I'm cutting it down to just the most popular ones so that I can get it released.
The most important part of v5 is I've rewritten most of the payment processor code, which will allow the affiliate program much more flexibility. That's why I put Pro on hold and started working on v5 - it's about putting down a solid foundation for the next level of DLGuard.
For now, iDev Affiliate is quite a popular one, and will integrate well!
cheers

Sam,
My purpose in life for the next month is to turn off 1ShoppingCart by replacing it with DLGuard. I see from the DLGuard web site that v5 is integrated with several affiliate programs (JVZoo, ClickBank...) From your opinion, which have the best integration that would allow me the least amount of work and most flexibility to allow affiliates to sell products already set up in DLGuard cart.
I hope this question makes sense

Hi Alfred,
They've all got their positive aspects, and so it really comes down to which best fits your business.
Firstly, are you selling from the DLG Cart only? If so, then you won't be able to use Clickbank or JVZoo with the DLG Cart, as those payment systems are more designed for single item sales.
If you want to set up your own affiliate program for the DLG Cart, popular ones are iDev Affiliate, PostAffiliate Pro, and JAM JROX.
I hope this helps!
cheers

We recently installed Post Affiliate Pro, and it is spectacular. About a million times better than it was 6 years ago.
They will install it for you. To integrate with DLG you just copy and paste the code they give you into the Extra Text box with your DLG product, and add a short piece of Click Tracking code to your landing pages.
Their customer service is second only to what we get from Sam here at DLG.
So... until Sam finishes DLG Pro and gives us a fully integrated affiliate program, PAP is the next best thing.
We are still working on it, you can see how affiliate prospects are introduced to it here:

Hi Ed, Just checking if you purchased the Xpress, Professional, Ultimate or 'pay as you go' version.
Thanks,
Alfred |

We got the basic version - cost a couple of hundred dollars as I recall. It has the features we needed. They installed it on our server for free, and it all works great. _________________ Ed and Kathy
