"Download" link not active

I customized the thankyou email for my products and everything works well except the download link doesnt show as active. I have it in the email like this: [download]. I tried [%%download%%] but that didnt work either.

The text comes out but the link is not active.

Hi Gregg,

Since the text is displaying fine, but it's just not linked, I'm guessing you've got "Send Emails As HTML" ticked in your Config screen in DLGuard?

If you're sending HTML emails, then you'll need to add the HTML code to create a download link.

Alternatively, if you just send plain text emails, it'll be automatically linked.

Thanks Sam, but what would be the download link if DLG creates a unique on for each purchase?

Have you tried:

<a href="[download] ">[product]</a>

Shows link with the product name on it.

or

<a href="[download] ">[download]</a>

Shows link with the URL on it.

Eddie is right on for the code for HTML emails!

Just using that tag will generate the correct download link for that particular customer.
